Indigo Blog Tour

Indigo
by Amber Lacie
Romantic Comedy

Some girls are born independent and fierce. They constantly shock the world bringing it to its knees. Indigo Bryant is one of them. At the young age of thirty, she has already bought and sold a highly successful design business. Needing a change of pace, she up roots herself from New York City, to move near her best friend in a small town in Alabama. What was supposed to be a relaxing summer, starts to change into something different when she meets Alexander Clark…

Despite his many talents and charming personality, Alexander Clark can't move forward and let go of the guilt from a horrible accident. His once promising baseball career, has now faded into the shadows. He's paralyzed by the nightmares of his past. That is until he meets Indigo…

Not every girl needs a knight in shining armor. Not every girl needs to be saved.

Not every boy is a knight. Sometimes they are the ones that need to be saved…

He’s playful––and cute.  I guess it can’t hurt to make a friend.  I give in with a shake of my head.  “Well done. I have to say, I’m slightly impressed.”
“Really?  I had some good pickup lines I was certain would catch your attention.”
“Now I’m disappointed.  Though, I can’t imagine what you could have said, that I haven’t already heard.  Being hit on in bars in New York is like being rained on in Seattle. It’s unavoidable.”
Laughing, he nodded to the bartender who slid him another beer.  The light hit his eyes and I realized they weren’t brown like I originally thought.  Instead, they were a deep blue. “Disappointed huh? I don’t like the sound of that. Maybe you can help me pick out a few good lines I can use to pick up some other woman, since you’re clearly not interested in anything other than those chips.” he said, nodding toward the bag of chips in front of me.
“I have a healthy appetite.  It’s not a bad thing.” I squinted my eyes, wondering to myself what he could be up to.  Deciding to play along with Mr. Not a Stranger, I flashed him a challenging smile.  “Alright, let’s hear them.”
Clearing his throat, he spun his barstool to face me.  “Hey, baby, feel this shirt. You know what kind of material this is?  It’s boyfriend material.”
“Oh, that’s just awful.  That has to be one of the lamest one’s I’ve ever heard.”
“You can do better?”
“Of course, I can.  Are you a baker? Cause you have some hot buns.”
Laughing, he took a sip of his beer.  “You just made that one up.”
“I did not.  Some guy tried to hit on me over the New Year with that one.”
“Well he did a horrible job.  I got a better one. Are you Google?  Because I’ve just found what I’m looking for.”
Sipping my drink, I shook my head.  “No––just no. Those are way too polite.  You need to get sleazier with them.”
“Sleazier huh?  Any suggestions?”
“Okay, how about this one?  It’s a good thing I have my library card on me…because I’m totally checking you out.”
“What?  That’s not sleazy.  If we are going to do this, we need to do this right.”  He raised his hand motioning for the bartender. “Tim, we are going to need a bottle of Jack and some shot glasses over here.  Put it on my tab.”
“Oh no, I’m not having anyone buy me drinks.  I can buy my own.”
With an arch of his brow and a dangerous smirk on his face, Mr. Not a Stranger turned back to the bartender.  “Fine then, put it on her tab. I’m okay with that.”
My mouth fell open at his suggestion.  “I am not paying for all of your drinks either.”
“Then it’s settled––Tim, put it on my tab.”
Smug bastard.  He knows exactly what he is doing.

Lex laced his fingers through mine and placed my hand over my heart.  Shallow breaths fell from my lips as he pressed his forehead against mine.  My heart quickened at his touch. What is he doing?
“You feel that?” he asked.  “The instant we touch, your heart speeds up.  Now feel this,” he said, moving our hands, fingers still laced to press against his chest.  I could feel his heart pounding against the palm of my hand, as I got lost in his eyes. “Mine does the same thing, and it’s not because of how bad I want to be inside you.  I mean, don’t get me wrong, I fucking need to be inside of you. No––this feeling right here is because you make me feel alive.”
“Lex—”
“No.  You don’t get a say in this.  I was a mess until I met you. You invaded my dreams at night.  You captured my thoughts during the day. Hell, even Logan noticed the difference in me.  I’m better…because of you. You saved me. Now let me love you.”

Thousands of stars filled the Alabama night sky.  Some were so big and bright it was as though I could pick them from the sky with my fingers.  Suddenly, long arms wrapped around my waist. Looking over my shoulder, I saw Lex looking up toward the stars.
“It’s so beautiful,” I admitted.
“She is.” Lex replied, leaning down and gently placing a kiss behind my ear.
“I meant the stars.”
“I know what you meant, but that’s not what I meant.  The stars got nothing on you.”
Giggling, I shook my head.  “You and your pick-up lines.”
“That wasn’t a pick-up line.  I’m just being honest. You’re beautiful.  I wish you could see yourself through my eyes.  You’d be in awe.”

Live Write Winners 10/30 Michael Gagain & Amber Lacie!

Check out their story now and Let us know what you think!

Here's the picture that used as Inspiration.

Michael Gagain The moon crept through the trees quietly, as if even with all its power it dared not disturb the dead...I remember exactly where I buried every one of the poor souls I had stumbled upon and decided to make my own. I've tried to curb my appetite for destruction. Mayhem and death...now one has escaped. A first. I am intrigued with thought of a hunt, a little game of cat and mouse if you will...

Amber Lacie I'm running as quickly as my feet will carry me. Branches and twigs keep snapping underneath my weight as I try to escape. I can hear him in the woods behind me. He's not moving as quickly as me, but he's catching up. Thump. thump-thump. My heart beat is erratic beneath my ribs. One minute I was being dragged by my hair, the next thing I knew I was on the ground underneath a giant oak tree with a tall slender man standing over me. I have no idea where the courage that spurred my movement to kick him in the groin came from, but I was thankful for it. Not only had I caught myself off guard, I had thrown him off as well. A loud crack echoes behind me. Fuck. Is there more than one out here with me?

Michael Gagain A devious smile falls upon my lips as it had done many times. sill cunt, these woods belong to me, she’s running for her life....in circles, I know every fucking tree in my graveyard, a little place I like to call home where no one leaves alive...I stopped to listen...ha- ha- ha yes, the unmistakable metallic snap of one of my bear traps...oh her excruciating screams are a delightful melody to my ears....

Amber Lacie The pain takes a moment to register. At first, I thought the sound was behind me. Then a burning sensation took over my body. My foot is twisted, bloody, and unrecognizable. There's traps laid everywhere. Now that I'm lying on the ground panting in fear, I see the silver glint of traps hidden underneath the leaves. The wind stirs around me moving the branches above me. For a second the full moon shines down on me. That's when I see them. Yellow eyes staring down at me. Yellow luminescent eyes. And then it goes black.

Michael Gagain You know...I hate when they pass out from the pain. I twisted my ankle as I came into view of her gorgeous form, and needless to say that really pissed me off, fuck I'm getting old! I limped to her and dropped to my knees besides her and took in her beauty, she was deep into an unconscious moan, her ankle looked like a few pounds of 3 day old hamburger. I took my pocket knife and hacked off what remained of her leg...I slung her over my shoulder and limped back to the tree where our date tonight began....I smiled as I whistled...."Whistle while you work" THE END....

Pretty; Blog Tour

Pretty;
by Amber Lacie
Dark Romantic Suspense Thriller

After a lifetime of torture from a man set out to destroy her, Andie finally finds herself surviving on her own free of his grasp despite her past still haunting her dreams. Laith had his own demons to fight, but now he's thriving in Chicago as the owner of City Ink Tattoos. When Andie and Laith meet their worlds shift as they find strength in each other. Will they be able to build with the pieces of their hearts they have left, or will their love crumble and fall leaving them both completely shattered? **Due to the dark and explicit nature of this book, it is recommended for mature audiences only.*

“Everyone I have ever loved has left me. Intentional or not, they’ve left me alone and broken. You were so beautiful when I found you on the bench. It was the sounds of your heart breaking into a thousand pieces which drew me to you, and then you looked up at me. My heart stopped, my breath became yours, and at that exact moment, I knew I would never be able to get enough of you.” Cradling me to his chest, his fingers brush through my long messy locks. “Please, don’t go. I need you just as much as you need me. I know you feel this, whatever this is between us. You look so frightened, but when I touch you I can see your body accept me. I calm you, and you do the same for me.”

“Nothing anyone can say or do will change how I feel about you. I’m a broken man, Andie. For once in my life, I feel whole. I feel when I’m with you, I’m not just existing. I have a purpose, a reason for still being here on this earth when everyone else has left me, and it’s you. I love you.”
“Laith.” His name falls from my lips in a soft whisper. Never in my life did I ever picture being with someone, not like this. “I don’t deserve you.”
“That’s bullshit and you know it. Now, tell me what you keep thinking. Tell me what you’ve said under your breath. Tell me the thoughts I’ve heard slip from your lips.”
“I love you. I love you so fucking much and it’s scaring the shit out of me. I don’t know what to do, what to say, or how to breathe. I’m lost and I feel weak, but I’m not those things. I’m not weak. I don’t need people to save me, I take care of myself, and I don’t how to do any of this.” Tears fall from my eyes, sliding down my cheeks, and land on the sheets beneath my head.
“You’re far from weak. You’re fucking incredible, and I’m lost in you.” His lips collide with mine, all the while my heart slams in my chest as if it might explode.

Live Write Winners 10/23 Misty Clark & K.C. Rice!

Check out their story now and Let us know what you think!

Here's the picture that used as Inspiration.

Misty Clark Jamie followed her into the woods. The last thing he thought he'd see is her going into a rundown old cabin. When he opened the door he was blown back. He hit the ground hard.

"Jesus Christ!"

K.C. Rice “Who do you think you are? You’re trespassing on the sacred ground of SSS ( sex starved spirits)

Misty Clark Jamie blinked hard pushing himself up off the ground. "My girlfriend went in there. Cammie!" Jamie called out for her, but nothing happened all he saw was the spirit. It started for him.

K.C. Rice “Cammie is the last thing you should be concerned about.... “ The ground began to shake the tree branches swaying in the wind as the spirits danced around him. Their whisks if hair swirling around him.... hypnotizing

Misty Clark Jamie screamed for Cammie again, before the spirits closed in on him. In the window of the house he could see her, but only for a second. Everything was started to spin on him. He felt weird. His heart raced, he could he it pounding in his ears. He felt something touch him, but he couldn't move not even his eyes. He frozen in place. Terror choked him. His mind screamed out for help.

K.C. Rice Cammie watched out the window as her sister spirits overcame Jamie. She had lead him into their lair- it had been twenty centuries since they had tasted a man... felt his blood bump through his veins into his manhood....His musky scent filled their empty souls .... they began to glow....

Misty Clark The color drained from Jamie's face as felt himself start heat up. A strange mix of feeling over took him. He was turned on and scared to death at the same time. He watched the spirits start glowing as they got closer to him. They licked their lips looking at him like he was some kind of exotic dessert.

K.C. Rice His body pulsed and throbbed like never before... he was living every man’s fucking dream... “holy shit this is going to be eeeppppiiicccc” His eyes roll back in his head as the spirits take him... deep... deep... deeper still....

Misty Clark As she watched from the window Cammie turned to the spirit that floated in the room with her. "I've done what you've asked me. I brought you a man. The only man I've ever loved that should be enough for you. My debt to you is paid!" The spirit smiled her teeth rotted before she had died. "Oh no child this is just the beginning!"

K.C. Rice “Noooo!” She screamed as she watched her love as the spirits sent him spiraling out of control. Jamie screamed as the most explosive orgasm poured through his toes... up his body... to his neck and filling his head as it exploded... “Aaahhhhhhh”

With a tear dropping from her chin, she whispered.... “ I did a bad, bad thing”
