Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Absolutely one of my favorite children's books. I remember reading this the first time; I was twelve years old. My kids are just now the age they want to read it. However, I love this entire series, but in the end, I still haven't received my Hogwarts letter.

Review: Frosted Sweets

Frosted Sweets Frosted Sweets by A.M. Willard
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The buzz for this book was off the charts, but with Willard as the author, what do you expect? I read the book when it first came out, then later listened to Alison Edwards narrate it, and she did a splendid job.

Morgan is the sweet owner of the Polka Dot Bakery, just days away from marrying the man of her dreams. Up till he and a co-worker were getting busy if you know what I mean. *wink wink* That was the beginning of the end for them. Her friends were ecstatic about calling off the wedding. Morgan then threw herself into baking and also came to the conclusion she needs to work on her self, with the whole "I don't need a man." deal. This is where we introduce Jayden. A transplant who falls hard for Morgan at first sight. Want to know more? Gonna have to Read or Listen to find out!

Review: Sugary Sweets

Sugary Sweets Sugary Sweets by A.M. Willard
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Not going to lie, I thoroughly harassed Willard for this book! I devoured it! Then I was able to listen to Kathryn LaPlante narrate it, and though she has more of a country twang, she did a great job! This is just one of the outrageously funny stories!

Review: Hearts in Florence

Hearts in Florence Hearts in Florence by A.M. Willard
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I beta read this book for the author but later listened to it and loved it and not only because it had a glimpse of a couple of my favorite characters from another book! The narrator Willard chose for this one has a sweetness to her voice. She does need to work on her "Male" Voices but overall god job. Raven and Pierce made sure to give the reader all the feels.

Review: Heart of Stone

Heart of Stone Heart of Stone by Dakota Willink
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is my first story by Willink, and it was splendid from the very beginning to the end. The dynamic between Krystina and Alexander; their connection and sexual chemistry will keep the reader from putting the book down. Heart of Stone is dual POV, so you get to see from Alexander and Krystina's eyes. I will say I'd had to give this read a 4 star because it was very similar to Fifty Shades of Grey. I will have to grab the next book Stepping Stone just to see what happens next.

Review: Handle with Care

Handle with Care Handle with Care by Marie Harte
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

Handled with Care by Marie Harte, I had a lot of trouble getting into this book. I loved the characters, but I kept falling asleep through the book. It just didn't have enough going on.

Review: Cowboy Up

Cowboy Up Cowboy Up by Stacy Finz
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I always have a love/hate relationship with Cowboy Romances, but I'm glad to say Cowboy Up was the awesome start to a new series by Stacy Finz. Lots of witty banter and interesting well-written characters. Though, sometimes the best part is the side characters. Dry Creek Ranch Series is one I will be sure to be looking for in the future. Another thing that caught my attention with this novel is it's not just a Cowboy Romance, it's also a Family Drama. I honestly think that is what has put it on into my top five.

Review: Hidden

Hidden Hidden by Yanette Mantro
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First, let me start by saying I don’t naturally read anything Paranormal even in the romance genre other than YA books. Mantro did a fantastic job of keeping me on the edge of my seat, and I was so excited I got to read this book. I probably wouldn’t have picked it up if it wasn’t for Foster An Author. Now let’s get to the good part!
Hidden is the first book in the Tri Moons series. In this book, you follow Jasinda and Jace. Jasinda was just a regular girl living a normal life. Or was she? Jace’s life was anything but ordinary. He lived in a world of magic and mystery. I was kept on the edge of my seat from beginning to end wonder what was going to happen next. I love it when the author can make me feel like I’m right going through everything. I had so many characters I loved where there were others I just wanted to punch in the face.
This was my first book by Mantro, and it won’t be my last. I’ve already harassed her on when I’d get me Jace and Jasinda because that ending did not do it for me. Grab this book today because you won’t regret this read!

BDSM/AP lifestyler Breanna Hayse strives to give her readers truth and reality of the BDSM/Age-Play/Total Power and Erotic Exchange lifestyle.

Who am I?
I'm a native Californian gone 'wild', and had the opportunity to travel the globe and discover the world through the eyes of both a Marine Intelligence specialist and a BDSM lifestyler. I left the service to go into hospice nursing and grief counseling, eventually working as a marriage and family therapist for those involved in alternative lifestyle development. This experience has allowed me to gain unique inspiration for my books and offer realistic plots and relatable characters.

In 2004, my husband, John, and I joined forces to work with both submissives and dominants- teaching, training, listening and loving. Our goal was to take the mystery and fear out of the lifestyle and mentor people in safe, consensual and healthy relationships.

My first book, The Game Plan, was published in 2012 and opened the door to the now-booming world of Age-Play literature. Since that time, I've devoted my 'spare' time to writing, researching, community involvement, and private and group pro bono counseling in deviant behavior, alternative lifestyle, and addiction recovery.

I was formally 'dungeon trained' as a Domme before discovering my submissive side when I joined the service. My scenarios are pulled primarily from either personal experience or observation, including spending time in BDSM clubs as the safety/medical officer. My multi-faceted background allows me to glean from many avenues and give a unique and intelligent literary experience through elements of fantasy and fiction. I also discuss the questions and psychology of the lifestyle in a manner that is fun and informative, and based on 'the real deal.'

I live with my husband, musician, and fellow-author, John Hayse, and two border collies in southern California. We practice a 24/7 D&S relationship with speckles of AP (and many trips to Build-A-Bear), and happily spend every moment together that we can. My hobbies include my puppies, hiding my vanilla salt-water taffy where John can't find it, exotic art, collecting inspirational trinkets, and developing my own paddle line. You can also see me as a featured author/instructor in professional conference settings and as a Sexpert for kinkyliterature.com.

Reviews:

Susan McCauley delivers a poignant and frightening tale of love and redemption against a backdrop of evil, both supernatural and not. It’s a fast and exciting read filled with demons, ghosts, and stolen kisses, and it does an excellent job of reminding us that both revenge and love can be eternal desires. This is one teens and adults will both enjoy.” ⎯JG Faherty, multiaward- nominated author of Hellrider, The Cure, and Cemetery Club

Evil is not always the only enemy you should fear . . . Fast-paced and deftly written, with emotional depth from the darkest of characters, this is a ghost story to savor.” ⎯Peter Adam Salomon, Bram Stoker Award®nominated novelist, author of All Those Broken Angels and Eight Minutes, Thirty-Two Seconds

Susan McCauley was born and raised on the gulf coast of Texas, not far from Houston. She spent several years in Los Angeles, California acting, writing, and teaching college English. In 2002, she moved to London to further explore professional theater. While in London, her stage adaptation of Nikolai Gogol's "The Nose" was performed at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art's George Bernard Shaw Theatre; and, scenes from her play The Prisoner: Princess Elizabeth were performed at HMS Tower of London. She returned to the U.S. in 2005. In 2007, she was the line producer of the Emmy Award nominated Civil War short film Now & Forever Yours: Letters to an Old Soldier. She has had short stories published in several anthologies, and her short story, "The Cask," was made into an award winning short film.
