Live Write Winners 10/23 Misty Clark & K.C. Rice!

Check out their story now and Let us know what you think!

Here's the picture that used as Inspiration.

Misty Clark Jamie followed her into the woods. The last thing he thought he'd see is her going into a rundown old cabin. When he opened the door he was blown back. He hit the ground hard.

"Jesus Christ!"

K.C. Rice “Who do you think you are? You’re trespassing on the sacred ground of SSS ( sex starved spirits)

Misty Clark Jamie blinked hard pushing himself up off the ground. "My girlfriend went in there. Cammie!" Jamie called out for her, but nothing happened all he saw was the spirit. It started for him.

K.C. Rice “Cammie is the last thing you should be concerned about.... “ The ground began to shake the tree branches swaying in the wind as the spirits danced around him. Their whisks if hair swirling around him.... hypnotizing

Misty Clark Jamie screamed for Cammie again, before the spirits closed in on him. In the window of the house he could see her, but only for a second. Everything was started to spin on him. He felt weird. His heart raced, he could he it pounding in his ears. He felt something touch him, but he couldn't move not even his eyes. He frozen in place. Terror choked him. His mind screamed out for help.

K.C. Rice Cammie watched out the window as her sister spirits overcame Jamie. She had lead him into their lair- it had been twenty centuries since they had tasted a man... felt his blood bump through his veins into his manhood....His musky scent filled their empty souls .... they began to glow....

Misty Clark The color drained from Jamie's face as felt himself start heat up. A strange mix of feeling over took him. He was turned on and scared to death at the same time. He watched the spirits start glowing as they got closer to him. They licked their lips looking at him like he was some kind of exotic dessert.

K.C. Rice His body pulsed and throbbed like never before... he was living every man’s fucking dream... “holy shit this is going to be eeeppppiiicccc” His eyes roll back in his head as the spirits take him... deep... deep... deeper still....

Misty Clark As she watched from the window Cammie turned to the spirit that floated in the room with her. "I've done what you've asked me. I brought you a man. The only man I've ever loved that should be enough for you. My debt to you is paid!" The spirit smiled her teeth rotted before she had died. "Oh no child this is just the beginning!"

K.C. Rice “Noooo!” She screamed as she watched her love as the spirits sent him spiraling out of control. Jamie screamed as the most explosive orgasm poured through his toes... up his body... to his neck and filling his head as it exploded... “Aaahhhhhhh”

With a tear dropping from her chin, she whispered.... “ I did a bad, bad thing”

Review: Hidden

Hidden Hidden by Yanette Mantro
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First, let me start by saying I don’t naturally read anything Paranormal even in the romance genre other than YA books. Mantro did an amazing job at keeping me on the edge of my seat and I was so excited I got to read this book. I probably wouldn’t have picked it up if it wasn’t for Foster An Author. Now let’s get to the good part!
Hidden is the first book in the Tri Moons series. In this book, you follow Jasinda and Jace. Jasinda was just a regular girl living a normal life. Or was she? Jace’s life was anything but normal. He lived in a world of magic and mystery. I was kept on the edge of my seat from beginning to end wonder what was going to happen next. I love when the author can make me feel like I’m right going through everything. I had so many characters I loved where there were others I just wanted to punch in the face.
This was my first book by Mantro and it won’t be my last. I’ve already harassed her on when I’d get me Jace and Jasinda because that ending did not do it for me. Grab this book today because you won’t regret this read!

His Possession (Fame & Fortune, #1)

Fame and fortune wears a mask. An enigmatic disguise that can steal your soul if you don’t keep your feet on the ground, and your head in the game.

Blake Henderson had accepted the assignment to protect Sophia Jennings, one of the world’s most famous actresses, when she was a child at the mercy of Hollywood’s ruthless depths. But, he'd also found the strength to leave when his feelings for her were no longer the professional thoughts of a bodyguard.
She survived five years without him, but now he's back as a new threat casts a dark shadow over her sky-rocketing career.

It's wrong, forbidden, and everything they shouldn’t want. But when they are together their attraction ignites even the darkest corners of their lives.
They should resist each other, but, if they do, at what cost will Sophia’s fame come?

"You’ve never been just a job to me."
In my hands, Sophia, the only girl I’ve cared about—cared about too much when I shouldn’t, hadn't cared enough about when I should have—falls apart. Wracking sobs splinter her chest and I pull her tight, holding her firmly, until my own chest is heaving with the rise and fall of hers. My hands stray to her hair, smoothing it with my palms, my fingers skimming a path until her delicate face is once again cradled in my hold. "Sophia," I murmur her name. It’s nothing more than a throw away prayer, a half-murmured wish I know will never be.
It’s all wrong.
Knowing you are too old and taking advantage is the only useful knowledge when you can use it to stop yourself from doing wrong.
I can’t. My mouth lowers. Every millimetre I have the chance to stop, but I don’t. I clutch her tight as if she will disappear and lay claim to her lips. Using my hold on her head I tilt her face until she opens for me. Inhaling her breath, the heat of her tongue washes into my mouth and using my tongue I explore her kiss until she’s limp in my arms.

Her hand rests on the wall of my chest where my heart beats wildly and it’s as if with her touch she unlocks all my restraint. My lips crash into hers, hard and fast, her mouth opening willingly for my tongue to slip inside. I probe and taste with careless abandon, flicking her tongue, running mine along the edge of her teeth. When I pull away, ripping my mouth from hers, I bury my face in the static strands of her hair. Her scent fills my head, chasing away any hesitation and doubt. "You have no idea how much I wanted you in that pool house all those years ago, how much I wanted you the other day in the shower. How much I wanted you right then on the beach even though I was trying to tell myself and you that I didn’t…" My breath is hot in my lungs, like I can’t breathe quick enough to force it out.
A low sob echoes from deep within her. "I don’t want the vodka, Blake, I just want you."

An Inconvenient Marriage

Zach has only one goal in life:
To make the man, who had taken his mother from him, pay for everything he’d done.
Now, the only thing standing between him and the revenge he so desperately craves is a marriage to a woman he despises.
But from the moment they say ‘I do’, he learns that his bride is not what he thought she’d be, and walls that he’d built around his heart start to crumble.
What happens when he realizes the woman he is living with, is also the woman he can’t live without.
And how will he handle it when he finds out that he isn’t the only one with an agenda?

Natalie has only one goal in life:
To get as far away from her current situation as possible.
The out she so desperately seeks comes in the form of an arranged marriage to a man who makes no secret of the fact that he dislikes her.
Natalie soon realizes that Zach will not be her knight in shining armor, but that doesn’t stop her from hoping that he would see past the rumors and lies to notice the woman she keeps hidden from the world.

Hidden (Tri Moons, #1)

When the truth has been hidden from you for years, how do you find the strength to trust love?

I was just a regular girl, living a normal life. My “normal” life was thrown into chaos when I learned that not only was I surrounded by supernatural beings, but the life I’d thought was my own, wasn’t. Everything I thought I knew was a lie. Someone had erased my memories and replaced them with fabrications. Who would do that? And why? What else had been kept hidden from me? With me questioning everything in my life, how was I going to find the strength to trust the man laying claim to my heart?

My life was anything but normal. I lived in a world of magic and mystery. I’d never wanted anything normal. Until her. From the moment I laid eyes on her, I wanted her like I’d never wanted anyone before. She called not just to me as a man, but also to the beast hidden within. He rose within me to claim her. Having found the missing half of my soul, I’d do whatever it took to make her my mate. Could I convince her to trust me and trust her heart? And if I succeeded, could she survive in my world? With all that’s been kept hidden from her, could she find a way to accept not just me, but my beast and the magic within me?

Tri Moons Hidden is book one of an enchanted series. Hidden throws readers into the mystical world of Jasinda, whose story has only just begun. Find out how her journey continues in book two.

Happy Ever Never (Written in the Stars Book 1)

A modern twist on a classic tale. A love story tangled with secrets, second chances and destiny.

When we first met, I was searching for adventure, he was lost, longing to belong.

We planned on happily ever after, but forever would have to wait.

Torn apart by secrets and lies, we built new lives an ocean apart.

I spent years trying to forget, but when he shows up at my door, all I can do is remember.

Every kiss. Every promise. Every tear.

First love doesn’t always get a second chance, but every story deserves a happy ending... this could be ours.

Just a few more strokes and these fairy wings will be perfect. I roll my aching shoulders, stretching as I stand back, studying my work. Laying on the table before me is another little piece of myself, bled out on the page in a mesmerizing swirl of colors. It’s missing something… My mind can't figure out exactly what it could be, and my heart screams that it knows. Goosebumps blossom down my exposed arms, and I wrap myself in a hug to ward off the chill of memories, both good and bad.
Lost in thought, I stare at the magical willow tree taunting me from the thick linen paper. Blinking back tears, I study the fairy fluttering beneath the tree, using the wispy vines as a barrier of protection from those who would harm her. Remembering another time, another place. Stolen kisses and magical lands. Lands that are laden with secrets. My secrets.
Loud banging erupts downstairs, jolting me back to reality, and I nearly spill the cup of soaking brushes. Shit, that was close! Setting the cup aside, I breathe a sigh of relief that the day’s work wasn’t in vain as my fingertips swipe gently under my eyes. Who could it be?
Dashing down the stairs I pull the phone out of my back pocket to see how long I was lost in my work. It's only 2:35 and Drew isn't due home till 3:00. I’m confused as to who it could be. Emotionally drained from today’s session, I’m not really in the mood for visitors, not that we get many visitors.
As I pause to grab an armful of clothes from the base of the stairs, the knocking grows persistently louder. “Coming!” I yell, continuing to the door.
Jerking it open, the greeting dies on my lips as the bottom falls out of my carefully constructed world… and I find myself staring into the greenest eyes I never thought I'd see again. My heartbeat speeds up to a deafening boom, boom, boom, echoing in my ears. Clothes fall to a pile at my feet as I grasp the door frame for support, fingers of one hand digging into the wood whilst the other is drawn to the base of my throat as I struggle to find breath… as if it’s willing air into my burning lungs.
“Hello, Willow.” His voice is the same but deeper; he is, after all, a man now. Hearing my name on his lips, tainted with distain, is like a lover’s caress and a sword to the heart, all at once.

“I want you too much, Willow. I always have. And I’m afraid once I take you, there will be no going back. I’m tired of climbing towers to get to you, I want to stay in the tower, locked away with you. In some ways I’ve stayed locked in this tower, in this very room at Everlend, waiting, hoping, that maybe you would come rescue me. And you have.” My hands move to her hips, drawing her closer to me before moving up, along her rib cage, until my thumbs barely brush the underside of her breasts. Her lips part just slightly, and she moves against me. “Don’t leave me here Willow. Please, don’t leave me again. Either stay locked up with me, or take me with you.”

I stand at the window in the darkness, watching the rain falling steadily outside. Little drops shimmering down from the sky, evidence of our passionate moment outside now drip down my bare shoulders. Cool drops that relieve the heat I feel burning up inside me. My fingertips trace my swollen lips, and I close my eyes. Surely I didn't imagine it. Yet again, he pushed me away.
He kissed me so angrily and greedily in the courtyard. So very different from the stolen kisses we shared all those years ago in the trees. Each time we touch now, it’s like I could combust. The fire and need is so much more than it was back then. My mind and my body have desires that the girl I was never dreamed of. But he still treats me like a delicate flower, like we’re back in that garden, and he might crush me.
I was consumed. I thought he was too... That he was finally going to take me. Then he abruptly stopped his assault on my mouth and left me to walk back to my room alone. The warm rejection is flowing on my cheeks, mixed with the cool summer rain.
Is it silly to be upset? Maybe the kissing didn’t mean anything to him – the doubt seeps in. It’s quite apparent that Piers has no shortage of women falling all over him, including Scarlett. Am I trying too hard? Does he even want me anymore? It’s been so long, but that kiss... I felt that kiss in my soul. How could he not even feel a fraction of the fire that I did?
The air becomes charged, and I feel my skin start to tingle, opening my eyes to see his reflection in the window. His dark silhouette framed in the light of the hall, he stands still as a statue. I too am frozen in place... The hurt I feel about whatever the hell transpired downstairs is drowned out by my desire to be near him.
The pull I feel towards him is nothing short of magnetic, and that scares me. What scares me more is that he doesn't seem to feel it.
I put aside that fear and take a chance, looking over my shoulder at him, and he grips the door frame with both hands. His gaze holds mine across the darkened room; I bite my lip, trying to contain myself.
“Fuck it,” I hear him breathe out in a harsh whisper. Dropping his arms, he charges into the room towards me, and I turn completely around, pressing my back into the cold glass window. The chill can't compete with the fire I feel once he reaches me.

Winner of a Best Romance award from the Wild Dreams Publishing 1st annual Indie Awards 2018.
Fans of J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood Series, and Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series will love this!

Author speaks about the book
The inspiration for Jahi, the demonic temptress, came when I was working as therapist in a women’s correctional institution. Many of the women I worked with were prostitutes and usually drug addicts too. Often they would tell of horrific interpersonal traumas in childhood and early adulthood and yet they were still amazing people. It was awe inspiring to see how high they could rise when people began to believe in them and they, in turn, began to believe in themselves.
