This story had so much potential. I tried really hard to enjoy it. However, it was just lacking something. I don’t know if it was the back-and-forth or just the characters all together. This is supposed to be a RomCom, and where I may have found a few lines chuckle-worthy, this was not a RomCom. Again I wanted to love this book because it sounded awesome but just fell short for me. This was my first story by this author, but I will be sure to try again because maybe it was just me being a mood reader.

Review: Wanting the Fight

Wanting the Fight is the third book in the second generation of the Gloves Off series. This is a series of standalones, but I would still read them in order. I was pulled in instantly by Peyton and Ethan. 

This story is filled with Passion, secret underground fighting, and angst like you’d never believe. Uber strong female lead with a secret relationship and a surprise pregnancy.

Just read it today, and you won’t regret it because everything Dover touches is gold.

So this story has two of my favorite tropes, Fake Dating and Average Joe Dating a Celebrity. This is such a great story. I enjoyed it so much!
Struggling screenwriter, Sofia has far too many jobs, but she has to make ends meet somehow, right? One of the jobs is a dog walker. It just happens one’s name is Pongo. I know I automatically thought 101 Dalmations. Anyway, while Sofia is walking Pongo, he gets loose. Only to jump all over a guy lying on the beach.
I’m sure you’ve already guessed it; he’s the Roman Grier and Pongo’s owner. Did I mention he’s a famous actor? No? Well, he is but now, to get the rest of the story, you need to pick it up today!

Okay, so don’t crucify me. This story had so much potential. There are some quite funny spots. The blurb caught my attention right away, and I loved the cover, but what in the world does the title have to do with this story? Like, I’m seriously baffled. Let me say I am a mood reader, so maybe it’s just a me thing. I do feel as if this was more literary fiction than romance. With that being said, if that is what you enjoy, this is most definitely more for you.

This story is book two in the False Start Series. This one is about Noah and Lorelai. I’ve not read the first story, but I’m going to have to go back to it now. I didn’t care for Lorelai myself. I wanted to be it I couldn’t. She’s very self-absorbed in my opinion. I feel like maybe I missed stuff from book one. Therefore I may enjoy it more after I read book one. I suggest if you plan to read this book, you should start at the beginning.

This was my first story by Lyon, and it was a quick and cute steamy read. The story is about single mom Lena and her old college fling Reid.
